ปัญหาขยะในประเทศไทย
ในปัจจุบันประเทศไทยกำลังประสบกับปัญหาใหญ่เกี่ยวกับการจัดการขยะ หนึ่งในคำถามที่สำคัญที่เกิดขึ้น คือ เราควรจะร่วมมือกันอย่างไรเพื่อทำให้ประเทศไทยให้สะอาด สวยงาม ไว้เพื่อคนรุ่นหลังต่อไป
ประเทศไทยเป็นหนึ่งในสถานที่ได้รับความนิยมในอันดับต้นๆ ของนักเดินทางจากทั่วโลก ในปี พ.ศ. ๒๕๖๐ มีนักท่องเที่ยวมากกว่า ๓๕ ล้านคน เดินทางเข้ามาท่องเที่ยวในประเทศไทย ขณะที่จำนวนประชากรของประเทศไทยมีเพียง ๖๘ ล้านคนเท่านั้น ในทางกลับกันนั้นยังมีอีกหลายประเทศที่ไม่มีศักยภาพที่จะสามารถต้อนรับจำนวนนักท่องเที่ยวจำนวนมากขนาดนี้ได้
มีผู้คนอีกมากมายที่อยากเดินทางมาเที่ยวประเทศไทย ด้วยเห็นว่าประเทศไทยมีความสะดวกในการเข้าประเทศ ความเป็นกันเองและเป็นมิตรของคนไทย นักท่องเที่ยวที่ได้มาเยือนประเทศไทยแล้วล้วนเกิดความประทับใจ ใน อดไม่ได้ที่เมื่อเดินทางกลับบ้านไปก็แบ่งปันเรื่องราว ประสบการณ์และความประทับใจเหล่านั้นให้กับเพื่อนๆ และครอบครัวของตนเอง
แต่ทว่าระบบการจัดการขยะปัจจุบันที่มีอยู่ในประเทศไทยยังไม่มีประสิทธิภาพมากพอ แม้แต่จะจัดการจำนวนขยะที่เกิดจากคนไทย ซ้ำร้ายยังมีจำนวนขยะอีกมหาศาลจากนักท่องเที่ยวอีก ๓๕ ล้านคน บ่อยครั้งที่ขยะเหล่านี้มักลงเอยในธรรมชาติ เช่น แหล่งน้ำ และมหาสมุทร ในขณะที่ประเทศไทยได้รับความนิยมจากนักท่องเที่ยวมากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ แต่การแก้ไขปัญหานี้กลับไม่ใช่เรื่องง่ายเลย เราควรจะทำอย่างไรเพื่อที่นักท่องเที่ยวจะได้ไม่ต้องมาเห็นภาพของกองขยะกองมหึมาในประเทศที่เขาเลือกมาเพื่อพักผ่อนหย่อนใจ
ภาพคนไทยรวมตัวกันเพื่อทำความดี เราทำความดีด้วยหัวใจ เป็นภาพที่ผมเห็นอยู่บ่อยครั้ง นี่เป็นโอกาสดีของพวกเราที่จะร่วมมือกับคนทั่วโลกเพื่อทำความสะอาดครั้งใหญ่ การร่วมมือทำความดีในครั้งนี้จะส่งผลยืนยาวไปจนถึงคนรุ่นหลัง วันที่ ๑๕ กันยายน ของทุกปีนั้นเป็นวันทำความสะอาดโลก ผมอยากขอเชิญทุกคนเข้าร่วมโดยคลิกที่ลิ้งค์นี้ครับ
วันนี้จะเป็นวันพิเศษที่คนทั่วโลกจะร่วมแรงร่วมใจกันด้วยหัวใจเพื่อทำให้ประเทศของตนเองน่าอยู่ ผมเชื่อว่าคนไทยอยากมีส่วนร่วม ซึ่งคุณสามารถร่วมกิจกรรมนี้ได้ง่ายๆ เพียงแค่ถือถุงเก็บขยะเดินไปตามถนนใบบริเวณชุมชนของคุณเองแล้วเก็บขยะทุกชิ้นที่เห็น หรือคุณจะชวนเพื่อนๆ สมาชิกในครอบครัว และคนในชุมชนมาช่วยกันเก็บขยะในลักษณะของกิจกรรมกลุ่มก็ได้ เพียงแค่ใช้เวลาเก็บขยะด้วยกันเพียงหนึ่งหรือสองชั่วโมงก็ถือว่าคุณได้เข้าร่วมทำความสะอาดโลกใบนี้พร้อมๆ กับคนทั่วโลกแล้ว
กิจกรรมนี้มีดีตรงที่ใครๆ ก็สามารถทำได้ จะทำที่ไหนก็ได้ จะเก็บขยะในละแวกบ้านของตัวเองหรือว่าที่ส่วนไหนก็ได้ที่คุณต้องการ เพราะเราจำเป็นต้องทำให้ทุก ๆ ให้สะอาด น่าอยู่ ดังนั้น ถือเป็นหน้าที่ที่ทุกคนต้องร่วมมือและช่วยกัน
เราจะมัวแต่ชี้นิ้วโทษใครไม่ได้ เพราะไม่มีใครรู้ว่าใครกันแน่ที่เป็นคนทิ้งก้นบุหรี่บนถนน ยัดถุงพลาสติกห่ออาหารข้างถนน หรือว่าทิ้งขวดน้ำพลาสติกในสวนสาธารณะ คุณเห็นขยะเหล่านี้ไหม? หรือว่าคุณจะทำเป็นเอาหูไปนาเอาตาไปไร่กับปัญหาขยะที่เกลื่อนกลาดอยู่ในถนนของพวกเรา ผมอยากขอแค่เมื่อใดก็ตามที่คุณออกไปข้างนอกบ้าน ไม่ว่าจะเป็นเวลาระหว่างที่ขับรถไปทำงานก็ดี หรือว่ากำลังรอรถติดอยู่บนถนน ขอให้คุณลองสังเกตรอบๆ ตัวคุณ แล้วคุณจะเห็นก้นบุหรี่ หลอดพลาสติก และเศษขยะต่างๆ กระจายเกลื่อนกลาดอยู่บนท้องถนนเต็มไปหมด
ปัญหาขยะที่ถูกทิ้งอย่างมักง่ายกระจายเกลื่อนกลาดในที่โล่งนั้นต้องการความร่วมมือจากทุกคนในการแก้ไขปัญหานี้ ไม่ใช่เพียงแค่มุ่งเน้นพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีเพื่อจัดการขยะหรือวางโครงการสวยหรูต่างๆ เพียงเท่านั้น ดังนั้น ในวันทำความสะอาดโลกในครั้งนี้ จึงถือได้ว่าเป็นโอกาสอันดี ที่ประเทศไทยจะเป็นประเทศลำดับที่ 105 ที่เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมซึ่งจะเปลี่ยนโลกของเรา
คุณอาจสงสัยว่า….. แล้วฉันทำอะไรได้? แล้วฉันจะได้อะไรเป็นการตอบแทน? มันดีสำหรับฉันยังไง? ทำไมฉันต้องเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมในครั้งนี้ด้วยละ? คุณสามารถทำได้หลายอย่างเลยทีเดียวครับ คำตอบที่ง่ายที่สุดก็คือ เพียงร่วมมือแม้เพียงเล็กน้อยก็ถือว่าคุณได้ช่วยแล้ว แม้ว่าคุณจะเก็บขยะเพียงชิ้นเดียว แต่เป็นการป้องกันไม่ให้ขยะชิ้นนั้นเป็นสาเหตุในการทำลายสิ่งแวดล้อม หรือเป็นสาเหตุการตายของสัตว์นานชนิด ถ้าคุณเข้าร่วม คุณจะได้เห็นว่าปัญหาขยะในประเทศไทยรุนแรงแค่ไหน คุณอาจจะมีความคิดและข้อเสนอแนะดีๆ ที่จะช่วยให้ประเทศไทยพัฒนาวิธีการจัดการขยะที่ยั่งยืนได้ ความมีส่วนร่วมของคุณจะช่วยให้ประเทศไทยกลับมาสวยงามอีกครั้ง และยังช่วยให้ประเทศรักษาอันดับประเทศที่น่าท่องเที่ยวที่สุดของโลกไว้ แล้วยังเป็นโอกาสดีที่จะทำให้คุณได้ขยับร่างกาย ได้ออกกำลังกายเพื่อสุขภาพอีกด้วย
ในวันนั้น ขยะทั้งหมดที่เก็บได้จะถูกแยกและนำไปรีไซเคิลที่โรงงานรีไซเคิลในพื้นที่ ขยะส่วนที่เหลือจะถูกนำไปการจัดการในโรงกำจัดขยะของเทศบาลตามความเหมาะสม

- พบปะ พูดคุย ทำความเข้าใจร่วมกัน เกี่ยวกับขั้นตอนการดำเนิรงานทำความสะอาดชุมชน
- เตรียมอุปกรณ์สำหรับเก็บขยะเอง
- พูดคุย สรุป ขยายพื้นที่ ทำความสะอาดเพิ่มเติม
- แบ่งปัน ประสบการณ์ ข้อมูล กับชุมชนอื่นๆ
- ทำงานประสานร่วมกัน กับชุมชน เพื่อความเข้าใจที่ดีต่อกัน
หลังจากนั้น จะมีการฉลองความสำเร็จ ของการทำงาน และการปรับปรุงโครงการให้ดีขึ้นในอนาคต ณ . วัดศูนย์กลางท้องถิ่น หรือ หอประชุมของชุมชน

World Cleanup Day Thailand วันทำความสะอาดโลก
World Cleanup Day, Thailand, 15th September 2018
Thailand is one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations, with around 35 million people visiting Thailand this year alone. Most countries would not have the ability to handle that many tourists, and considering Thailand’s population is only 68 million people, we’re doing an amazing job.
Once visitors arrive they are blown away by Thai people and their friendliness and love for their country. After these people return to their own country they tell their friends about their experiences in Thailand, often making them want to visit too.
But sadly, we currently have a big problem with waste management in Thailand – current systems are lacking the capacity to deal with the all trash Thailand produces, let alone the extra waste 35 million tourists produce. Tragically, a large amount of our waste finds its way into the natural environment, the waterways and the ocean.
But there is hope – I always see Thai people come together in large groups for doing good, เราทำความดีด้วยหัวใจ. So now, we have a perfect opportunity to join with the rest of the world in a massive cleanup event, that will benefit Thailand for generations. This September 15th is World Cleanup Day วันทำความสะอาดโลก and anyone can join.
This day is a special day where the whole world will come together to make their part of the world beautiful – and I know that Thai people would love to be involved. The activity can be simply one person with a trash bag walking down their street picking up trash, or working together with your friends and colleagues at your business, university, school or village, collecting trash, for just one or two hours, on World Clean up Day.
The great thing about this activity is that it anyone can do it in any location, close to your home and whenever you would like to do it.
Of course, we can all play our part in reducing plastic consumption, but that will not solve the current problem of trash on our streets and in open spaces around our towns and cities. The next time you are driving to the shops or your workplace, please look carefully along the sides of the road as you drive along, or while you are waiting for the traffic lights to change. Look out of your window and see the cigarette butts, the Styrofoam food cartons, the plastic straws and bottles and other plastic debris thrown away at many roads and intersections around your city.
Now, we have a wonderful opportunity to join the rest of the world on World Cleanup Day, as one of the 150 participating countries in this world-changing event.
If you join us on World Cleanup Day, every piece of trash you pick up will no longer be damaging the environment or harming (and even killing) animals. Your involvement will help us make Thailand beautiful again and help us stay the number one tourist destination in the world.
On World Cleanup Day, the trash collected can be sorted and recycled at your local recycling facilities, with the rest of it held securely for the District Waste Management services to collect and dispose of.

Your city, your house, your street, your village, your community, your business, your school, your University, your District, your Municipality, your Province.
We need to create some community spirit through this. Neighbors helping neighbors.

3. Discuss areas which need extra cleaning
4. Share with the rest of the community.
5. Work together for their beautiful community.
Afterwards have a celebration meal together at the local temple or community hall.

Oh no! You have a flat tire on your motorbike! What can you do? Well you can push it to your mechanic OR…
Do you know that you can get your motorbike tire repaired wherever you are.
One of the great things about Chiang Mai be able to get around on the motorbike but what happens if your tire is flat? well it’s very easy to just give someone a call and they will come to you and fix your tire.
Don’t call these numbers, but look at a power pole near you for the local ba yarng!

It’s called a ba yarng (ปะยาง), a motorbike tire fixer. they are all over the place and the local guy will come and fix you up within about 10 to 15 minutes. And have you back on your motorbike within the hour.

Thai Eating Etiquette – Eating properly
One of the most important things for Thai people is relationship. One of the most important things for relationship with Thai people is eating together. One of the most important things about eating together is eating the right way, so here are some great tips about Thai eating etiquette.
Very important Thai eating rules:
1) Only eat with your RIGHT HAND.
2) A fork and spoon are the usual eating utensils. However, noodles are often eaten with chopsticks.Only use the fork to put food on the spoon.
3) The spoon is held in the right hand and the fork in the left.The fork is used to guide food on to the spoon.
4) Wash your hands before eating.
5) if you are in a homestay, shower before eating (as much as possible).
6) Sticky rice is a hand food! Ball it up, then make it into a pinch pot and use it as a little edible spoon-bowl type thing to eat.
7)When eating, it is considered very rude to blow your nose or to lick you fingers. The right hand must be used to pick up food eaten with the fingers.
8)Most meals are served as buffets or with serving platters in the center of the table family- style.
9)You may begin eating as soon as you are served.
10)Leave a little food on your plate after you have eaten to show that you are full. Finishing everything indicates that you are still hungry.
11)Never leave rice on your plate as it is considered wasteful. The words for food and rice are the same. Rice has an almost mystical significance in addition to its humdrum ‘daily bread’ function.
12)Never take the last bite from the serving bowl.
13)Wait to be asked before taking a second helping.
14)Do not lick your fingers.
